on vacation in May, I saw a young couple dancing the Tango on the steps
of the Royal Palace in Madrid. All throughout Spain, performers work for
tips on the sidewalk but these dancers really caught my eye. Their dance
was sensual, romantic and innocent all at the same time. I offered them
some Euros if I could take more than just a couple of snaps. The girl
shyly demurred, indicating I offered too much but the boy talked her into
it. This was one of the highlights of the trip and I have already exhibited
one photo (center, top row) at the 2003 Alameda County Fair. |
